The MOTHER of all my finds....

...would be this baby right here:

"This" would be the bedspread you see on my bed up there ^^^^^^^.  I've lusted after hand-crocheted spreads like this for years and years now, but I never could afford the hundreds of dollars that came on their price tags.  I came close one time to purchasing one that I got the woman down to $75 on, but I didn't get it.  Imagine my delight when I found this hanging amongst all the other un-loved and ratty blankets and bed things......and at $3.99 (that is BEFORE my 20% discount), I thought I was going to faint...surely I wasn't reading that tag correctly????  But oh, yes....I was.  So I yell for my good friend, Nyc, to come and see my find....but of course she couldn't fully appreciate my happiness and delight being's how she didn't know how long I'd dreamed of owning one of these babies.

I hadn't used it yet....until last night....isn't she beautiful?  Rosalie likes her.....

And just because I can, I'm going to show you the detail of this beaut up close and personal......

....it amazes me that something this "holy" could actually be so heavy and warm.  I wish I could tell the person who constructed her just how much I love and appreciate the hours and hours of hard work that was put into her beautiness.....but since I can't, I'll just share her with you and you can listen to me instead!  :)
